Love shopping on Amazon? Don’t miss these 11 easy Amazon Prime Hacks + savvy insider tips that could start saving you money today!

11 easy Amazon Prime hacks and savvy Amazon tips. Shopping, shows, movies, and more! Plus get 30 days free! I love Amazon shopping!

I no longer haul huge bags of dog food from the store shelves, to the register, to the truck of my car, and then into my house.

Now, it’s delivered directly to my doorstop via Amazon.com, and it’s so much easier on my back!

I love shopping on Amazon. A few years ago, I started to earn Amazon gifts cards and then used those free gift cards to pay for our family Christmas gifts (click here to read how I did it). It saved us so much money!

But if you want to save even more time and money on everyday items, you can use Amazon Prime. A lot of people are enjoying the somewhat “secret” benefits that Amazon Prime has to offer. We’ve been Amazon Prime members for several years now, and although they’ve had a price increase on the service, we still find that it’s worth it for our family. It’s not just about saving money, but about saving time and hassle, too. As a busy mom, that’s important!

Did you know that other than the free 2-day shipping, there are still a lot MORE benefits that you can get from the service? If you’re not aware of them, here are 11 Amazon Prime Hacks and savvy insider tips that you should know to help you save you more time and money!

11 Amazon Prime Hacks + Savvy Insider Tips You Probably Didn’t Know

    1. You Can Get $5 in Amazon Cash

Not many people know about this, the Amazon is offering a $5 credit when you deposit $20 into their Amazon Cash program. It’s a neat way to avoid using a debit or credit card over the internet to make purchases. Get your $5 here.

    2. You Can Get 30 Days of Prime for Free

Not sure if Amazon Prime is right for you? You can get 30 days of Prime for free and test it out. If you don’t find that it’s worth it, just cancel —  no hassles. Be sure to set a reminder on your phone so you can re-visit this in thirty days so you can re-assess and decide whether you want to keep it or cancel.

    3. Small Business Owner? Entrepreneur? Blogger? Try This!

Did you know Amazon has opened a special platform called Amazon Business? It’s free to join and you get extra discounts and perks! If you’re a small business owner or the buyer/purchaser for an organization, this can be a great tool. Here’s the scoop.

    4. How to Buy at the Best Price

If you’ve been eyeing something on Amazon, you can use the free service CamelCamelCamel (sounds odd, I know) to track the item. It will alert you when the price drops, and you can even view that item’s price history so you know what price is good. Very cool. You don’t need Prime to do this, but it’s worth mentioning if you’re buying lots on Amazon.

    5. Access the Streaming Music Subscription & Free Movies at Home

Other than saving money on shipping costs, you can subscribe to Amazon Prime’s music streaming services. Listen to unlimited streaming music. Details here.  As a Prime member, you can also watch exclusive Amazon Originals and thousands of popular movies and TV shows—all at no extra cost. Watch at home or on the go with practically any device.

    6. Shop the Amazon Outlet

Did you know you can shop the Amazon Warehouse and use your Prime shipping benefit?  Many open box items end up in the warehouse and you can take advantage of great savings by shopping there first.  You’ll find computers, tablets, home & kitchen items, digital cameras, Amazon devices, unlocked cell phones, and even TVs. Click here to check out the Amazon Outlet.

    7. Other People Can Use Your Account

Once you have subscribed to the service and you want your other friends or family members to use your account, you can share it with them. Amazon Prime allows you to add up to four people on one account, even if you don’t live in the same address. This is a great way to save money on your Prime subscription! Here’s the link to sign up.

    8. You Can Borrow Free eBooks

Prime members can read books using their Kindle. But even better, the service allows you to borrow free books through the Kindle Owner’s Lending Library. Every month, a Prime member has the ability to download one free book. If you don’t have a Kindle, you can download the Kindle reading app and use it on your Apple or Android device.

    9. Trade Your Old Items

If you have a lot of tech stuff that you don’t want, need, or no place to store it, you can trade them for a gift card credit. Although Amazon won’t be paying you with cold cash, you will receive an Amazon gift card you can use to purchase other things you want through the site. Here’s the scoop on getting gift cards in exchange for old tech items.

    10. Save More With Recurring Orders

If you order items and set them up for automatic delivery at certain intervals, you can save even more money. Order a new bag of diapers, dog food, or pantry essentials to be sent to your door on a regular basis and get discounts on these items. It’s all a part of their “Subscribe & Save” feature. Click here to check out Amazon’s Subscribe & Save.

    11. Get Free Items When You Choose To Wait For Your Order

If you don’t opt for the two-day Prime shipping when ordering, you can get free items. If you choose the No-Rush Shipping option, which doesn’t really take all that long, Amazon Prime will reward you with a free credit that ranges from free streaming to money rewards that you can use on your next purchase. You can always check how many credits you’ve earned, here.

You can enjoy not only discounts and free shipping with Amazon Prime, but, if you’re a smart shopper, you can get more than what you’re paying for with your subscription. It’s totally worth it!

    Happy Amazoning!
