1 Timothy 6:10
If you grew up thinking money was evil, and that even the Bible said so, join the club. For a long time I had a misunderstanding of 1 Timothy 6:10, where it says “For the love of money is the root of all evil […].” However, as I matured in my faith and my understanding of Scripture, I began to see that verse differently.
So what’s the 1 Timothy 6:10 meaning? It’s not saying that money is the root of all evil; it says that the LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil. There’s a big difference when you look at it through that lens. We aren’t to love money; money is merely a tool that we’re to manage well for the glory of God. He owns it all! We should love God and love people, but see money merely as a tool and an opportunity to steward what the Lord has entrusted to us.

Proverbs 13:7
In recent years, one of my favorite bible verses about finances has been Proverbs 13:7, “One person pretends to be rich, yet has nothing; another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth.” I like to think of this passage as referring to “stealth wealth,” if you will.
What do I mean by stealth wealth? It’s the idea of being a bit incognito about your money. You aren’t trying to show off or impress other people. You might even appear pretty ordinary on the outside, but you have money in the bank and can be generous to others. This is a sharp contrast to the person who “pretends to be rich, yet has nothing.” You’ve heard of those people, too — they spend all they have, are in debt up to their eyeballs, but somehow manage to wear all the latest styles and drive the newest cars. Sure, they look wealthy from the outside, but one glance at their net worth statement will tell you it’s all a front.

I just went from a 3 income household to 1 income after the loss of my elderly mother and aunt. I’m struggling especially as an essential worker who’s hours got cut during the stay at home order.
Now that my hours are back up, I had to live off credit cards to get by and it still wasn’t enough. I’m paying off medical bills and have a surgery for carpal tunnel coming.
Hoping I can make less be more.

I’m a mother of 3, one is down syndrome. I struggled for more than 10 years, as there was disagreement between me and my husband concerning my boy. I had to make loans to pay for his therapies and take him to special school. So I’m in debt, struggling to pay for his fees now. I’m born again in 2017,since then I’ve learned that life is not all about making debt. I want to register to study early childhood development diploma, planning to open a chreche. If I can get a sponsor to pay for the registration.

I need a voice. I am retired but not tired. 35 years ago I became a financial advisor. 2008 I was out of the money business in 24 hours. I became a debt resolver till 2015. Success was powerful, now it seems that no one seems to care or understand anything about money or how it works. I have the ability to build solid solutions with simply rearranging ones financial structuring. Simple things can and do make a very big difference. How to restart in todays world is my dilemma….. Thoughts Please???
