Oh, the blessing and burden of kids who love to read! Our kids fly through books, sometimes reading a whole chapter book in one night. Yes, you read that right – one night! Like you, this led us to do a little investigating: Where can we find free books for kids, other than the obvious choice of going to our local library?
Not to bash the local library, of course. They are treasure troves of a million wonderful things, and finding good books is simply one of the many benefits of taking a trip to the library.
But, outside of the library, where do we go?

If you’re an Amazon Prime member (this link leads to a free 30-day trial), you can borrow one eBook per month for free via Amazon. There are eBooks for young children, like Dora’s Sleepover and Goodnight, Little Monster, as well as eBooks for tweens and teens as well.
Amazon Kindle FreeTime
While not technically free, if your child has a Kindle Fire they can subscribe to Amazon’s Kindle FreeTime Unlimited (this link leads to a free 30-day trial), which provides access to more than 1,000 eBooks geared to kids ages 3-8.
