You forgot to lock your doors last night! You left the windows open! He came in and got in bed with your daughter (or son), interrupted her (his) sleep with sweet little buzzing texts, inappropriate pictures, and thoughts of corruption.
He is a predator – the enemy — and you let him go to bed with your child.
He’s only 4” tall, weighs less than 3.95 oz, and yet he can rob, cheat, steal, and ruin your child’s life. He allows her to enter a world you have never seen or imagined.
Her curiosities? Oh yes, he has the answers to them all – or at least someone on the other end does.
Understand her? Absolutely! So much better than you!
Introduces her to new friends she’s never met and even encourages her to have very intimate conversations and share pictures with him? Oh, yes… It’s his specialty.
His name is: Cell Phone.
Parents: YOU OWN HIM – You pay for his services monthly.
I BEG YOU…. PLEASE DOCK YOUR CHILDREN’S PHONES IN YOUR ROOM OVERNIGHT! (Lock your doors & close the windows!) Know their passwords – visit their social media sites – and know their “friends.”
Please understand this has been posted to provoke you to think and take action. Not to criticize. I love each of you and your children. I love you all enough to step out on that shaky limb of social media to hopefully spare one family the heartache I’ve seen others experience.
Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23
WARNING: When you make the announcement that the phone will now be docking in your room overnight the child will probably fall on the ground, wail, and show extreme bouts of anger and frustration. I promise they will be okay, and this behavior most definitely indicates this step is more necessary than ever.
