Welcome to my recipe index, where you’ll find frugal, healthy recipes utilizing “real” food ingredients. I believe you CAN eat healthy, real foods on a budget. I find it’s less costly to eat this way than if I were purchasing processed, ready-made foods for my family.
For most of these recipes, you don’t need any special kitchen tools or expertise. If you’re interested, though, you can click and browse a few fun kitchen tools I’ve accumulated over the years:
- Omega Nutrition Center/Juicer
- Komo Fidibus Grain Mill (this is an update to our mill, but we didn’t pay nearly that much for it!)
- Blendtec Blender with Wildside Jar
- Cutco Knives
It’s taken years to accumulate these tools. Don’t feel like you need them right away to get started in your real foods journey! They’ve made cooking more enjoyable for me, but we’ve had to save money for them and purchase them as our budget would permit.
