“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2
“Do you want to change your life?”
“Oh, sure,” come the answers.
“Then throw it away.”
“Throw it away? someone exclaims. “But don’t you know we only go around once in life? You gotta grab all the gusto you can.”
It’s interesting that people who would never touch a drop of beer can be shot through with that philosophy.
Exposure to massive doses of worldly thinking squeezes us into the world’s mold. But we open to change when we turn away from that and let the living truth of God move into our minds, our emotions, and our behavior. Yet so often we see no responsibility in connection with our knowing. We overload the circuits with knowledge, and fail to teach people that when God reveals himself to you, you are responsible.
